Prime and Tatler - Central Queenstown Wedding Venues

Located right in the heart of Queenstown, next to Lake Wakatipu, Tatler and Prime offer stunning views, ambience, service, wine lists and cuisine. As well as being highly-regarded restaurants appealing to local and overseas diners, Tatler and Prime are ideal function venues and have hosted many wedding receptions. Tatler and Prime are located within forty metres of each other in central Queenstown and are within easy walking distance of Queenstown accommodation. Our professional team of event managers, chefs and waitstaff have extensive experience in the function industry in New Zealand and overseas and are accustomed to working with a range of clients from many nationalities and cultures. At Tatler and Prime we can offer a variety of catering styles including casual barbecue or hangi buffets, plated meals or degustation menus, lunch, morning and afternoon tea parties and cocktail soirees. Our catering options suit a range of budgets and sample menus will be supplied upon request. For exclusive use of either venue, a minimum spend and set up cost applies. Tatler Restaurant & Bar Built in 1863, Tatler’s historic ambience adds to the romance of a special occasion like a wedding reception. The main restaurant downstairs can seat 70 guests or can accommodate 110 for a stand up function. Upstairs, the Spectator Room can be used for pre-dinner drinks and is also an ideal venue for a sit-down dinner for smaller groups. Completely self-contained, the Spectator Room has its own bar and bathroom, features the original open fire and its heated, covered balcony has views of Lake Wakatipu. Tatler is licenced until 1.30am and unlike other venues in Queenstown, guests are allowed to drink and smoke on the balcony until closing time.	Prime Waterfront Restaurant & Bar Prime’s stunning lake views make it a popular venue for showcasing the beauty of Queenstown to visitors. Prime can accommodate 250 guests for a cocktail-style reception or 180 for a seated dinner. There’s a stage, in-house music catalogue and we have a sophisticated sound, vision and lighting system. We offer a lift from street-level or stairs from the lake-side - you could even arrive by boat. An open fire adds to the romantic atmosphere in the cooler months. Prime is licensed until 1.30am and unlike other venues in Queenstown, guests are allowed to drink and smoke on the balcony until closing time.
